  1. I have no reason to believe that by offering beer and wine in grocery outlets in any way would increase under age drinking or alcohol abuse. This is not a new wheel that is being built but one that needs to roll into our area and streamline a system that seems to be in need of serious adjustments

  2. Your link to discussion paper is dead.
    I seem to recall it was a Conservative NS govt that created private liquor stores again. It might be worthwhile to investigate the profit margins of LCBO stores, agency stores and these boutiques.
    maybe also compare their staff to profit ratios – the LCBO might have some fat to trim?

    The real question is do we want consumers to save money and individuals to have profitable businesses or do we want hidden taxation of fixed prices in choices and locations?
